Service Description

Empowered Pathways Academy™ Fall Session is a structured, 5-week life skills program designed to support participants ages 12 and up build confidence, strengthen communication skills, dream bigger, and practice self-advocacy in a supportive and empowering environment. Taking place from Thursday evening from October 1 through October 29, 2026. tprovides a supportive, inclusive environment where participants are encouraged to communicate, dream big, build confidence, and strengthen self-advocacy skills. This 5-week evening program goes beyond traditional learning by creating space for participants to express themselves, identify their gifts, share their dreams, and practice using their voice in everyday life. The fall session serves as a strong foundation for continued growth within the Empowered Pathways™ journey, helping participants build the confidence, communication, and advocacy skills needed for school, work, community life, future opportunities, and personal independence. This academy offers structured learning, encouragement, and confidence-building activities in a supportive and inclusive environment. What Participants Will Learn: Communication and self-expression Social interaction and sharing with others Self-advocacy and confidence building Understanding their gifts, interests, and strengths Dreaming big about their future Making choices and sharing preferences Asking for help when needed Expressing feelings, needs, and goals Speaking up in school, work, home, and community environments Preparing for continued growth, independence, and future opportunities Who the Academy Is For: Designed for participants ages 12 and up: Teens through Adults with Down syndrome, autism, and other abilities Transition-age participants Families preparing for post-secondary life and independence Academy-Only Enrollment: The Empowered Pathways Academy™ Fall Session is available as a standalone 5-week evening program for eligible participants. Participation in the Academy is open to all eligible individuals. This fall session is designed to help participants strengthen their voice, build confidence, dream bigger, and practice advocacy in a supportive environment.
