Empowered Pathways Academy™ is a structured, 5-week life skills program designed to support participants ages 12 and up as they build essential skills for independence, confidence, and long-term success.

Taking place every Thursday from Oct 1 – Oct 28, 2026 this academy provides a supportive, inclusive environment where participants are encouraged to grow, learn, and prepare for real-world experiences.

This program goes beyond traditional learning by focusing on practical life skills, social development, and future readiness, serving as a strong foundation for continued growth and expanded opportunities within the Empowered Pathways Academy . At the end of the Academy, participants will have a workforce experience at a local business.

This academy offers structured learning, encouragement, and real-world preparation in a supportive and inclusive environment.

What Participants Will Learn

Participants will build skills in:

• Communication & social interaction

• Self-advocacy and confidence building

• Independence and daily living readiness, including money management & Grocery Store Experience (Date TBA)

• Understanding expectations in school, work, and community environments

• Preparing for future college, career, and travel experiences

Who the Academy Is For

Designed for participants ages 12 and up:

• Teens through Adults with Down syndrome, autism, and other abilities

• Transition-age participants

• Families preparing for post-secondary life and independence

Participation in the Academy is open to all eligible individuals.
