Wonderfully Made Day & Signature Event

What it is: Wonderfully Made Day is an officially proclaimed day in Illinois, held annually on November 12, celebrating, educating, and uniting communities in honor of individuals with Down syndrome, autism, and other abilities.
Through school-based empowerment workshops, community celebrations, and our signature Wonderfully Made Night to Shine Sneaker Ball, we create unforgettable experiences that uplift, inspire, and honor every individual’s unique gifts.
As we expand across states, our vision is clear: to establish Wonderfully Made Day as a nationally recognized movement.

Academy

What it is: Empowered Pathways Academy is a transformational program designed to equip individuals with Down syndrome, autism, and other abilities with essential life skills, confidence, and real-world readiness to navigate everyday life and step into greater independence.

Individuals preparing for increased independence, employment, and life transitions
Families seeking structured, skill-building support for their loved ones -
Why it matters: Too often, individuals are not given the tools or opportunities to fully develop their potential. Empowered Pathways Academy changes that by providing intentional, hands-on learning that builds confidence, capability, and independence.

From exciting events like attending a Chicago Bulls game, to movie outings and our signature Hot Chocolate Cheer celebration, each experience is designed to go beyond fun-it’s about exposure, joy, and growth.
